In Pete's Homework Basketball series you will learn from the basic fundamentals of basketball to game breaking strategies that will bring your game to a whole new level. The square "V" dribble is a drill where you practice switching hands while dribbling. This "V" while dribbling is done front to back, side to side, behind the back, and between the legs. This one drill alone if practiced is sure to improve your dribbling skills.

The "stop and pop" drill is both an offensive and defensive dribbling maneuver. This one is an excellent move when you are being pursued on a fast break. In this drill, you practice dribbling on a fast run, and then you come to a fast stop while bringing the high fast dribble to a low dribble extended out in front of you. This dribble will protect the ball from being stolen from you on a fast break by keeping the ball well out of the reach of the defender while maintaining your possession of the ball by keeping the dribble going. Therefore, defensively, you protect the ball and offensively, you keep the possession going.
