"Pete Maravich Memories" Essay Contest

Pistol Pete Videos is proud to announce our “Pete Maravich Memories” essay contest sponsored by Jackie Maravich. We want to hear your memories of Basketball Hall-of-Fame Legend “Pistol” Pete Maravich. Enter your essay for a chance to win prizes such as the Pistol Pete 6 Shooter Package Collector’s Version, Pete’s famous Homework Basketball 4 DVD Set, The Pistol: The Birth of a Legend full length feature film, the Pistol Pete: Heir to a Dream paperback autobiography, single Homework Basketball DVDs on Ball Handling, Dribbling, Passing, or Shooting, and more.

Pistol Pete Maravich... the name still rings in the ears of basketball fans across America. Who can forget the floppy socks, the behind-the-back passes, between-the-legs dribbling, and the wondrous assortment of shots that made him a magician in the game of basketball? If you are a Pistol Pete fan, if you saw Pete play, if you studied Pete’s Homework Basketball series, if you heard Pete’s Christian testimony, if you saw The Pistol: The Birth of a Legend, if you read any books about Pete, we want to hear from you!

Your essays or “articles” may be about whatever you want about your memories of Pete Maravich. If you are a basketball player, tell us how Pete influenced your game. If you used the Homework Basketball videos as part of your training, tell us how they helped your game. If you saw Pete play or have seen videos of his games, tell us what you thought about Pete Maravich. The list goes on. Be creative because the grand prize winner is to be chosen by Jackie Maravich.

Your essays or articles need to be a minimum of 500 words in English and sent electronically to Pistol Pete Videos via email at info@pistol-pete-videos.com with the subject line of “Contest Entry”. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, and email address. You may enter as many times as you like as long as you are not duplicating the same essay or article.

There are TWO ways to win in this contest. First, all entries are to be entered in a random monthly drawing starting at the end of July 2010 with the winners receiving free basketball videos featuring Pistol Pete Maravich. The deadline for entries for the monthly drawings is the last day of the month starting in July. The winners selected on the first business day of the following month. All entries are re-entered into the next monthly drawing, so get your entry in early for the most chances to win. (Monthly random drawing open only to US residents.) Second, the overall finalists will be chosen in the month of March 2011 and the grand prize winner chosen by Jackie Maravich at the end of March Madness in 2011. (Overall contest open to the world!)

We are now accepting entries for the monthly drawings, but the overall entry deadline is February 28th, 2011. Get your entries in now for your best chance to win the monthly drawings. Selection for the overall winners is to be based on content, creativity, and entertainment value.

All entries become the property of Pistol Pete Videos and may be used on our web sites, future projects including bonus features on new DVDs, and in our new book releases.
